Bobby Walls

Bobby "Bob" Lee Walls, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 31, 1931, in Cleveland, TN, he was the son of the late George and Archie Mae Huffaker Walls. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Walls was the owner/operator of Lee-Bomar Appliance Service. He was an active member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and on numerous committees. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Helen Godfrey Walls; daughters, Teresa Johnson (Rick) of Lexington, SC and Jan Shropshier (Tom) of Duncan, SC; grandchildren, Lee Johnson, Kent Johnson, Justin Shropshier, and Logan Shropshier; brother, George "Mickey" Walls (Janet) of Cleveland, TN; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Caylor and Louise Carroll. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Bob Deaton. Private burial will be in the church cemetery. Honorary escort will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 790 Hwy 417, Moore, SC 29369.
