Bobby Sprouse

Bobby Sprouse, 89, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Spartanburg Medical Center. He was born September 17, 1931 Spartanburg County, a son to the late Brady Boyd Sprouse and Eva Pressly Sprouse. Bobby was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church and was retired from Hoechst Celanese. He was married to Mary Ellen White Sprouse for 68 years. Also surviving is his daughter, Sara Sprouse Humphries of Spartanburg; his grandchildren, Brian Humphries (Heather) of Boiling Springs, SC, Allen Humphries (Robin) of Midland, NC and Beth Taylor (Brian) of Noblesville, IN; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Joel, Ruth Ann, Blake, Natalie and Maggie. Bobby was predeceased by his son-in-law, the Rev. Charles Humphries, four brothers, and eight sisters. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Wednesday January 6, 2021, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. John Lee and the Rev. David Frost. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
