Bobby Carol Haulbrook, 81, of Spartanburg, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at his home. Born March 14, 1931, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Nathan and Meriam Rogers Haulbrook. A veteran of the U. S Air Force, Mr. Haulbrook retired as owner of Safeguard Business Systems. He was an active member of Bethel United Methodist church, where he served on many committees and was an usher. In addition, Mr. Haulbrook was a Shriner; member of Woodmen of the World, the Spartanburg Chapter; life member of The American Legion; Master Mason of Spartan Lodge No. 70; life member and sponsor in Perpetuity (Benefactor) of Ducks Unlimited; served as area chairman of the Spartanburg Chapter of Ducks Unlimited for several years; an avid duck hunter and environmentalist. Bob was passionate about improving habitat for all wildlife. He was also a former member of the Spartanburg Lion's, Civitan, and Optimist Club. Bob enjoyed ballroom dancing and will be remembered as a loving family man, dear friend and a gentle, generous and kind soul to all. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Hattie Carroll Haulbrook; sons, Steven C. Haulbrook of Spartanburg, Jeff L. Haulbrook and wife Molly of Spartanburg, and N. Scott Haulbrook of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Jason Haulbrook and wife Jordan of Orlando, FL, Jeris Haulbrook of Orlando, FL, Justin Haulbrook of Los Angeles, CA, Alex Haulbrook of Lexington, SC, Mahlon Haulbrook of Columbia, SC, and Hannah Haulbrook of Lexington, SC; great-grandson, Brayden Haulbrook of Orlando, FL; godson, Grayson Downs of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Edward Haulbrook and wife Melba; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Haulbrook. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Thurmond Anderson and the Rev. Dave Nichols.
