Bobby Greer

Bobby Greer, 79, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born August 18, 1932, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Ben Tilman and Lena Wood Greer. Mr. Greer was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, and retired from Spartan Mills. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Emily Greer; daughter, Angie Lamb and husband Steve of Boiling Springs; grandson, Josh Lamb of Boiling Springs; and sisters, Mary Hayes and Edna Burgess, both of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the church, conducted by the Rev. Tim Hackett. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, 2058 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
