Bobby Earl Goforth

Bobby Earl Goforth, 79, of Enoree, died Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.  A native of Spartanburg, he was a son of the late William Clay and Iris Geneva Reno Goforth. 

He retired from the W. R. Grace Company after 39 plus years of service. He played fast pitch softball in the 70’s and was inducted in the SC fast pitch Hall of Fame. He was an avid picker, loved going to estate sales, yard sales, flea markets and most of all meeting people.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Lane Goforth; daughters, Robin Foster (Tim) and Kim Billman (Robert), ten grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Maddox and Nancy Weathers. He was predeceased by his siblings, George Goforth, Floyd Goforth, Dot Jordan, Bea Corey and Gelena Goforth.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday, February 18,2024, at the Fairforest Church of God conducted by the Rev. Kris Kilgore and the Rev. John H. Petty III. A burial will follow at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
