Bobby Crowe

Bobby Gene Crowe, 73, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, March 27, 2010. Born June 1, 1936, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Eugene and Daisy Worthy Crowe and husband to the late June Hayes Crowe of 48 years. A graduate of Roebuck High School, he was retired from Reeves Brothers and was an avid sports fan. He was a member of Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285 and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Agape Sunday School Class. He was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Choir member. Survivors include a daughter, Terry C. Morgan and her husband Lewis, a granddaughter, Lindsey Carter and her husband Justin, a grandson, Robbie Morgan, and a great-grandson, Payton Carter, all of Spartanburg, who were the loves of his life; three sisters-in-law, Doris Heffner, Lynn Hayes, and Rita Gilbert; and three brothers-in-law, James Hayes, David Hayes, and Neil Hayes. He was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Whitt and Lib Prince; and three brothers, Vance, Joe, and Jimmy Crowe. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jason Lee and the Rev. D.J. Horton. Burial with Masonic rites will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 350 North Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
