Bobbie Lou Smith Wingo, 86, of Inman, SC, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Born January 14, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Max and Annie Lou Rogers Smith, and wife of the late John Olin Wingo. Mrs. Wingo was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and the owner of Kermit's Pad Child Care. Survivors include her son, Mikel Patrick Wingo (Jessica); grandchildren, Chrissy Wingo and Matthew Wingo all of Inman, SC; sisters, Jo Easler (Charles) of Spartanburg, SC and Jean Abercrombie of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by daughter, Judy K. Rice; son, Johnny Ray Wingo; sisters, Doris Sawyer, Freddie Ballenger, and Brenda Splawn; and brother, J. M. Smith. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Fred Quidley and Rev. Joey Mills. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will be at their respective homes.
