Bobbie Jean Wilson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mrs. Bobbie Jean Wilson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Bobbie entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on September 5, 1947, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Mr. Earl Raines and Mrs. Hazel Moore Raines. 
 

Bobbie led a life filled with love and faith. She found joy in simple pleasures like reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending church services regularly and being the "Preachers Wife". She was a member of The Middlers Sunday School class, WMU, and the Owls of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church. She also served on the church kitchen committee. One of her proudest accomplishments was sharing 34 beautiful years of marriage with the late Reverend Terry Wilson. 
 

Bobbie is survived by her sons; Chris Wilson (Carrie) and Don Merritt; grandchildren; Taylor Merritt (Madie), Allyson Merritt, Harrison Wilson, and Grayson Wilson; a sister Pat Whitworth (Larry) and a brother Bill Raines. Bobbie was predeceased by her late husband, Reverend Terry Wilson, and father Earl Raines, and mother Hazel Moore Raines. 
 
Visitation and funeral service to honor Bobbie's life will be held at Pacolet Mills Baptist Church located at 385 Stone Street Pacolet, SC 29372 on Tuesday April 9th, 2024. The visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by the funeral service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Bobbie will then be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens located at 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road Spartanburg, SC 29307 at 4:00 PM.
