Bobbie K. Thompson, 85, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Valley Falls Terrace. Born March 23, 1933 in Glendale, SC, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Annie Louise Reece Walden and the widow of Raymond W. Thompson. Bobbie was retired from Spartan Mills after 25 years of service. She was a great cook, wonderful piano player, and how she loved her grandchildren!! Survivors include her sons, Ronnie K. Thompson (Teresa) and Danny L. Thompson (Judy) of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter, Pam T. Bishop of Cowpens, SC; five grandchildren, Melissa Moore, Tosha Sanford, Corey Thompson, Reece Thompson, and Ryan Thompson; four great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son, Michael Thompson, and siblings, Wilburn Reece and Geraldine Thompson. A graveside service will be at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Reid Bowyer. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 or to Mobile Meals Service, P.O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Valley Falls Terrace and to Wren Hospice for the loving care and compassion that they gave to our mother and grandmother.
