Bobbie Caldwell

Bobbie Dearybury Caldwell, 85, of Cowpens, died Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 18, 1926, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Overton Franklin and Elizabeth Waldrop Dearybury. Bobbie retired from Draper Corp. after 37 years of service. She was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Women, 55 Plus Club, served on the Church Board in various capacities, and was a former Sunday School teacher, a current choir member, and loved her Lord, family, and true friends. Survivors include her son, the Rev. Jack A. Caldwell and wife Mickie of Spartanburg; daughter, Carole C. Edwards and husband Bill of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Patricia Seay Caldwell of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Frances D. Martin of Cowpens, Estelle D. Davis of Spartanburg, and Joyce D. Cascio of Irmo. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Edwin "Donnie" Caldwell; sisters, Winifred Dearybury, Amabel D. Hughes, Selma D. Moseley, and Emily D. Moseley; and brothers, O. F. Dearybury, Jr., Jack Dearybury, John Dearybury, and Don Dearybury. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roye Lynn Kulik and the Rev. David F. Ervin. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 3055 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
