Blanche Foster Mobley, 90, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010, after an extended illness at The Heritage at Lowman. Born October 26, 1920 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Simeon Carlisle and Leola Zimmerman Foster and the widow of William Dixon Mobley. She retired from Raycord Manufacturing and was a lifelong member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church and the Goodwill Sunday School Class. Survivors include a son, Jack D. (Mary) Mobley of Columbia; granddaughter, Mary Beth (Lee) Bussell of Chapin; great-grandsons, W. Lee Bussell, Jr. of Columbia and Chase Bussell of Chapin; sister, Ruth F. Mobley of Spartanburg; niece, Susanna Mobley and nephew, Michael (Anne) Mobley of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a brother, Boyd Foster. A graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Cedar Spring Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Dr. James L. Jackson. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
