Blake James Ivey, 28, of 612 Breckenwood Drive, Spartanburg, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at this home. Born May 31, 1981 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of David R. and Shyrl Pace Ivey of the home. He was a graduate of Dorman High School and attended the Art Institute of Atlanta. He was a graphic designer with Suntex Printing, a charter member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist church, and he loved children, snowboarding, skateboarding and most of all his family. Survivors, in addition to his parents are his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Pace of the home, paternal grandparents, David H. and Barbara Ivey of Spartanburg; two brothers, David H. Ivey II and wife Dianna of Melbourne, FL and Gabriel and Ryanne O'Sullivan of Spartanburg; two nieces, Gabrielle Ivey and Avery O'Sullivan and a nephew, Luke Ivey; and his girlfriend, Jamie Johnston of Spartanburg. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. D. J. Horton and the Rev. Dr. Michael S. Hamlet.
