Billy Tramel, 76, of Oak Street, died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Smith Phayer Hospice House in Landrum, SC. Born April 1, 1934, in Pacolet Mills, SC, he was the son of the late John Madison and Sallie Gallman Tramel. He was retired from Adidas Distribution Center, a member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church, and a member of the National Guard. Survivors include his son, Johnny M. Tramel and his wife Gayle Tramel of Maryland; two grandchildren, John Tramel and wife Charlotte, and Brian Tramel and wife Tina , all of Pauline; two step-grandchildren, Tammy Austin and husband Tracy, and Bryan Cobb, all of Gaffney; three step-great- grandchildren; a brother, Delmar W. Tramel of Anderson; a sister, Betty K. Tramel of Pacolet Mills; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Juanita H. Fowler. He was predeceased by two brothers, John Defoy Tramel and James Leroy Tramel. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier.
