Billy Tessigner

"Billy" Fred Edward Tessigner, 79, of Jonesville, SC, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Union Medical Center. Born March 6, 1937, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Fred Samuel Tessigner and Sara Louise Weathers Tessigner and husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Bryant Tessigner. A U. S. Air Force veteran and avid Carolina Panthers fan, Mr. Tessigner enjoyed working outside and taking care of his pets. He attended New Life Worship Center and retired from Douglas Pest Control. Survivors include his sons, Billy Joe "Joey" Tessinger (Lea Ann) of Jonesville, SC, Chad Tessigner (Jennifer) of Pacolet, SC, and Christopher Adam Tessigner of the home; grandchildren, Dacey, Abby, Hope and Lydia of Pacolet, SC, and Elizabeth of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Margaret Rodriguez of Spartanburg, SC; step-grandson, Blake Painter (Kortni) of Jonesville, SC; and step-great-granddaughter, Adelynne. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by sisters, Sara Frances Howard and Virginia Mae Knighton; and brothers, Jackie Dean Tessnear and Bobby Fredrick Tessnear. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier, the Rev. Cathleen Cathcart, and the Rev. Bill Pickel. Burial will be in White Rose Cemetery, 708 Sunny Acres Rd., Pacolet, SC 29372. The family will be at the home following the service.
