Hayne Edward "Billy" McCarley, 71, of 3187 South Church Street Extension, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born January 16, 1939, in Cherokee County, SC, he was the son of Flora Padgett McCarley of Gaffney and the late Hayne W. McCarley. He was the retired owner of McCarley Wrecker Service and co-owner of Fowler's Cleaners on South Church Street. He attended Skylyn United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Blanche Fowler McCarley; an aunt, Mary Thomas of Gaffney; nieces, Sandra Good, Kathy Owings, Crystal Harling Williamson, and Anita Allison; nephew, Marvin Lawson; great-nieces, Tracy Michelle Yarborough and Tammy Allison; great-nephews, Randall Lawson and Brian Lawson; great-great-nieces, Brinna League, Madison League, and Ariel Allison; and great-great-nephews, Landon Mullinax and Logan Allison. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. James B. Carter and the Rev. Roger Allison.
