Billy K Fagan, 74, of 725 Shipwreck Place, died Monday, September 7, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born October 14, 1934, in Green Creek, NC, he was the son of Velma Whiteside Fagan of Green Creek and the late Kyle Fagan. A graduate of Limestone College, he was a retired supervisor with the SC Department of Corrections after 18 years of service. He was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Rosemary Wolfe Fagan; two daughters, Johanna Teague and her husband Gerald of Inman, and Kathy Smiley and her husband Troy of Clemson; a son, Phillip Fagan and his wife Angie of Gastonia, NC; a sister, Patsy Hunnicutt of Spindale, NC; a brother, Bobby Joe Fagan of Landrum; nine grandchildren, Josh, A. J., and Kayla Teague, Grant, Ryan, and Samantha Fagan, Christopher, Xander, and Jacob Smiley; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2:45-3:45 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dr. Hank Williams and the Rev. Bobby G. Lindsey. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to Boiling Springs First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
