Billy Dillard

Billy Charles Dillard, 84, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 6, 1934, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late William Lee "Charlie" Dillard and Edna Wood Dillard and husband of the late Edith Miller Dillard. A member of Whitney Masonic Lodge #264, Mr. Dillard retired from Chapman Grading and Concrete. Survivors include his children, Edie Poteat (Marty) and Charles Dillard, all of Boiling Springs, SC; six grandchildren, Shawn Dillard, Matthew Dillard, Josh Poteat, Heather Poteat, Chris Miller and Clint Miller; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Emily Henderson of Spartanburg, SC and Charlene Parris of Inman, SC; and brothers, George "Doc" Dillard of Boiling Springs, SC and Steve Dillard of Chesnee, SC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by sisters, Lucille Henderson and Polly Powell; brother, Joseph Dillard; and stepson, Harry Ray Miller. Visitation will be 11:30 AM-12:45 PM Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 with funeral services following at 1:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Michael Evans. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Edie and Marty Poteat, 125 Wells Dr., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
