Bill Warnock Sr.

William Harden Warnock Sr., 76, of Pauline, SC, died Monday, August 17, 2020. He is survived by daughters, Catherine Cheves of Pauline, SC and Elizabeth Warnock of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Will Warnock (Sabrina) of Montezuma, GA; grandchildren, Allie Cheves, David Cheves, Harden Warnock and Lucy Warnock; sisters, Dottie Bottomley and Murray Rice (Zack). Mr. Warnock was born in Atlanta, GA on December 16, 1943 and spent his childhood there. He graduated from Marist High School and furthered his education at Presbyterian College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He faithfully served our country in the US Army and completed a tour in Vietnam before he was honorably discharged. Mr. Warnock was married in 1970 to Lucy Williams Warnock. He spent most of his married life in Montezuma, GA where he raised three wonderful children and enjoyed a long career in banking. In 2005, Mr. Warnock moved to Loganville, GA where he finished his career working for the Department of Banking and Finance as a state bank examiner. Upon retirement, he moved to Pauline, SC where he spent the last 10 years of his life. He adored his family and was never happier than when he was with his children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1399 Walnut Grove Rd., Roebuck, SC 29376. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
