Beverly Catherine McCutchen, 41, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, in Dallas, TX. Catherine was a native of Spartanburg, SC, and graduated from Spartanburg High School. She attended Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, VA, where she lived and worked for a number of years after graduation. She was a member of the Junior League of Lynchburg. She returned to Spartanburg in 1995, where she worked at MedForum and became an active volunteer on projects for the Red Cross, the Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg, and the Heart Association. She was a board member of the Spartanburg County Historical Association. She was also a member of Reviewers III Book Club, The Assembly, the Piedmont Club, and the First Presbyterian Church. Catherine moved to Dallas in 2006 where she was employed with Broadlane, Inc. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McCutchen, Jr; granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McCutchen and Mr. Woodrow W. Willard. Surviving family include her grandmother, Mrs. Woodrow W. Willard; her brother, Mr. James David McCutchen, his wife, Laura Maw, and their sons, James David, Jr. and Samuel Watkins of Simpsonville; her sister, Mrs. Lawrence William Yeargin, III (Stewart), her husband, Tripp, and their children, William Houston and Mary Isabella Cooper of Greenville; an uncle, Woodrow W. Willard, Jr. of Spartanburg; and two aunts, Mrs. Edwin A. Wahlen, Jr. (Cathy) of Atlanta, GA, and Mrs. Dan F. Wilson, Jr. (Anne), also of Atlanta, and their families. She also leaves behind her beloved pets, two dogs, Fred and Ginger, and a cat, Buster. The family will receive friends at the home of her parents, 337 Matchlock Commons, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Susan E. Moorefield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or to Mobile Meals Service, P. O. Drawer 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The J. F.
