Beulah Lee Pearson Patterson, 93, of Roebuck, died Monday, February 27, 2012, at Windsor House West-Spartanburg. Born January 29, 1919, in Woodruff, she was the daughter of the late Faber M. and Beulah Cox Pearson. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, John "Jack" M. Patterson, Jr. Beulah and Jack lived for many years in Greenville, SC, before moving to Roebuck in 2001. In her early years, she was a beautician in Spartanburg, and later taught kindergarten in Greenville. She and Jack were also long-time members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Greenville before moving their membership to Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. She was an avid Bible scholar and her greatest achievement was being a Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Mrs. Patterson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah and Alan Gray of Walnut Grove; a granddaughter and her husband, Victoria Lee and Daniel Healy of Roebuck; a grandson and his wife, Ryan Alan and Kendra Gray of Mauldin; and a nephew and his wife, Michael C. and Dianne Sutton of Woodruff. She is predeceased by a sister, Inez P. Sutton; and three brothers, Henry Booth Pearson, Leon Pearson, and James B. Pearson. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, Woodruff, SC, by the Rev. Chris B. Snelgrove. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
