Betty Willard

Surrounded by love, Betty Jo (Clark) Willard, 91, passed peacefully in her home after a brief illness on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Born in Arkansas, raised in California, Mother spent her adult life raising her two daughters and 20 years in the aerospace industry. After her retirement, she moved to South Carolina to be near her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. As part of her tenure here in SC, Miss Betty became the very first volunteer at the fledgling St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic. She spent the following 20 years giving her time to the clinic as its volunteer statistician as the clinic grew in size and services. She is survived by a large, extended circle of family and friends all of whom she loved dearly and was much loved in return. Her love, patience, care, and gentle guidance will be sorely missed by all who treasure her. At her wish, there will be no viewing nor memorial service opting for a private Life Celebration at a later date. Condolences may be sent to 308 Tucker Road, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Mother also desired no flowers nor food be sent to the home. Rather, any person who wished to honor her life to choose their own favorite charity and send a small donation in her name.
