Betty Waldrop

Betty Radcliff Posey Mulligan Waldrop, 80, of Pauline, SC, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 9, 1930 in Pauline, SC, she is the daughter of the late Tom and Rhoda Lancaster Posey. A graduate of West Springs High School and Columbia Commercial College, she retired from Colonial Finance as a Secretary. Mrs. Waldrop was a member of West Springs Baptist Church where she was a former choir member, a member of the Henry Johnson Sunday School Class, and was fondly referred to as "Mother of West Springs". She was a Life Member and past President of VFW 9539 Auxiliary, a Life Member of DAV Chapter 3, a member of MOCAPT 3, and a member of American Legion Post 28. Surviving is her husband Robert D. ‘Bobby' Waldrop. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at West Springs Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Brent Dowis and the Rev. Dr. Henry Johnson. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens, Roebuck, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Springs Baptist Church CFC Fund, 4811 Buffalo West Springs Hwy, Pauline, SC 29374.
