Betty Thompson

Betty Jean Tanner Thompson, 80, of Moore, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 3, 1931, in Hall County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Fred Lee and Estelle Nix Tanner. She was a member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, Harris Randolph Thompson; son, Harris Randolph Thompson, Jr. and wife Jackie B. of Cartersville, GA; daughter, Rennea Thompson Dinkel and husband William Lynn of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Joel Clayton Dinkel and Heather Thompson Pullen; great-granddaughter, Madeline Grace Pullen; and brother, Charles Tanner of Auburn, GA. Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Tyger River Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will follow in the church.
