Betty Lou Brown Robbins, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the home of her daughter. Born September 23, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late A. B. and Annie Mae Knighton Brown, and widow of Donald Clay Robbins. Mrs. Robbins was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church. She retired from Spartanburg Regional Hospital after 25 years of service as accounts manager. She was past president of the Medical Association with numerous other titles and offices. Surviving are her children, Tony Robbins and wife Jean Anne, Teddy L. Robbins, and Tammy Lou Robbins, all of Spartanburg; five grandchildren, Wendy Dawn Robbins Smart, Teddy Lee Robbins Jr., Christopher Clay Robbins, Kelly Robbins Howell, and Dylan Robbins; 10 great-grandchildren, Timothy Grant Smart, Nicholas Reid Smart, and eight others; and grandson-in-law, William Smart. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a son, Richard Timothy Robbins. Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Joey Burnett. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 350 N Blackstock Church Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Arcadia First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 25, Arcadia, SC 29320. The family is at the home of her son, Tony Robbins, 128 Keloy Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301; and her daughter, Tammy Robbins, 551 Avon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
