Betty Quinn

Betty Ann Long Quinn, 80, died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at her home. Born September 13, 1929, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Tommy Long and Estelle Flora Youngblood Long Russell, and the widow of W. C. "Jack" Quinn. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Pam West and husband Vince of Spartanburg, and Tina Quinn of Inman; a son, W. C. "Chuck" Quinn II and wife Diana of Moore; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a beloved sister-in-law, Maudie Bridgeman of Spartanburg; a dear friend, Judy Cantrell of Chesnee; and her beloved doggie, Maggie. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Berggrun, and three sisters, Edna Witt, Helen Littell, and Geraldine Earnhardt. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Matthew Eddleman. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to SRMC Hospice Special Needs Fund, 120 Heywood Avenue, Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302. The family is at their respective homes and would like to extend a special thanks to staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice, especially Maurice Hood.
