Betty Webb Pruitt

Betty Sue Webb Pruitt, 92, of Fairforest, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at White Oak at North Grove. Born May 4^th, 1931, she was the daughter of the late, Marshall H. Webb and Edna “Mammy” Griffin Webb.

Betty was a long-time member of Covenant Baptist Church. She was a proud mom, grandma, wife, and sister.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Samuel Leon Pruitt; five sisters, Lucille Webb, Patricia Smith, Edna “Babe” McAbee, Louise Thompson, Doris Seay, and a brother, William “Bill” Webb.

Betty is survived by her son, Samuel Lee Pruitt Jr. (Linda) and daughter Miranda Pruitt Owens (Jack); four grandchildren, Matthew James Pruitt (Amanda), Marshall Grady Pruitt (Melissa), Tracy Bledsoe (Justin), and Gina Hyde (Mike); two step-grandchildren, Richard Kimbrell and Angel Burrell; three sisters, Mary Quinn, Gin Ward, and Gayle Nunamaker (Eddie); and many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at from 12:00 pm until 12:45 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Covenant Baptist Church, 200 Evangel Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301.

Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm at Covenant Baptist Church, services will be officiated by Rev. Gary Hensley and Rev. Jack Owens.

Burial will follow in Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery, 117 Church St, Spartanburg, SC 29301.

Pallbearers will be Matthew James Pruitt, Marshall Grady Pruitt, Stacy Thompson, Jill Cooke, Alan Moore, and Justin Bledsoe.

Memorials may be made to Covenant Baptist Church.

The family will be at their respective homes.
