Betty Moss Phillips, 87, of Cowpens, SC died Friday, July 15, 2017 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Born December 9, 1929 in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Finley and Dovie Harvey Moss and was the widow of Ralph Quinton Phillips. Betty loved her family so that being a homemaker brought her such joy. She was well known for her famous fruit cakes. Survivors include daughter, Jane Daves of Spartanburg, son, Ralph E. Phillips (Elizabeth) of Moore, and grandson, Brad Phillips of Charlotte, NC. Along with her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a brother, George Carroll Moss. Cryptside service will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 17, 2017 at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 175 Cemetery Street, Cowpens, SC 29330, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bill Westafer. Visitation will be after the service at the mausoleum.
