Betty Aiken Padgett, 83, of Boiling Springs, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at RoseCrest. Born September 28, 1928 in Spartanburg County, she was the widow of the late Glenn Hicks Padgett and daughter of the late Tommy Dee Aiken and Annie Mason Aiken Hayes. Mrs. Padgett retired from Boiling Springs High School after 28 years of service, a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Winthrop College, and a life time member of the South Carolina Education Association and the National Education Association. Surviving are two daughters, Glynda Padgett Todd and husband, Robert, and Kathy Langley and husband, Michael, all of Boiling Springs; three grandchildren, Stacey Todd-Stout (Cheryl) of Anderson, Becky Weisner (David), and Stephanie Mathis (Robert Morris) all of Boiling Springs; and three great-grandchildren, Julia and Jacob Weisner and Lela Anne Morris all of Boiling Springs. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Alan Leonard. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Lutheran Hospice, 429 North Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601, or St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, P.O.
