Betty O'Shields

Betty Jo O'Shields, 84, of Pauline, SC, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born May 22, 1933, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dexter E. C. O'Shields and Clara Goodwin O'Shields. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include her sister, Helen West of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Monroe O' Shields and Dexter O'Shields, both of Spartanburg, SC; several nieces and nephews; and three loving caregivers. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Elam and Carrie Allison; and three brothers, J. D., Ray, and C. L. O'Shields. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Monday, December 11, 2017, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374 with funeral services following at 11:00 AM, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Greg Butler and The Rev. Curtis Pettit. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 220, Pauline, SC 29374.
