Betty Morton

Betty Chandler Morton, 80, of 227 Wilton Hill Road, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at her home. Born January 3, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Van Buren and Maud McAllister Chandler. She was a hair stylist, a long time resident of Spartanburg, and a graduate of Spartanburg High School. Survivors include her husband, Charles Bruce Morton; a daughter, Deborah Morton Pack and her husband Danny; and two grandchildren, Jessica M. Pack and Chandler F. Pack. She was predeceased by an infant son, Charles Bruce Morton II; three sisters, Katherine Ashby, Lillian West, and Shirley Wade; and a brother Ted Chandler. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
