Betty Malone

Betty Jean Swatzell Malone, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, went home on Monday, October 27, 2014, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born December 24, 1931, in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late John Q. A. Swatzell and Esther Lucille Bowling Swatzell. Betty loved to crochet and she was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Greeneville, TN. Surviving is her son, Jeffrey S. Malone of Greeneville, TN; step-son, Lynn Malone; grandchildren, Scott and Lisa; and sisters, Edna L. Swatzell and Christine Winters of Greeneville, TN, and Sandra Crenshaw (Dennis) of Spartanburg, SC. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
