Betty West Littlejohn Kirby, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 16, 1930, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late James Randolph and Lola West Littlejohn. Mrs. Kirby was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was strong in her faith. A graduate of Converse College, she retired from teaching public school after 30 years of service, primarily in Spartanburg School District 7. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, the Golden Tones Choir, former Sunday School teacher, and member of the Discovery Sunday School Class. Surviving is her husband, Joseph Fuller Kirby; daughters, Nancy Anderson Wolfe (Harold Stephen Wolfe) of Peachtree City, GA, and Julie Anderson Brown (Cameron Glenn Brown) of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Morgan Wolfe Homan (Christopher David Homan) of Columbus, OH, Brian Stephen Wolfe of Atlanta, GA, Brandon Easterly Brown and Cameron Littlejohn Brown, both of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Peggy Littlejohn Fullerton (Jack) of Cincinnati, OH; stepson, Joseph Saunders Kirby (Fran) of Acworth, GA; stepdaughter, Susan Kirby of Spartanburg, SC; and seven step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Jaye Anderson; and sister, Jean Littlejohn Neely. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 897 S.
