Betty King

Mrs. Betty Carter King, 92, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her home. Born June 25, 1929 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Sims Carter, Jr. and Effie Mansifee Steadman Carter, and the wife of the late William Paul King.

Mrs. King was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church for over 60 years.

Survivors include her son, Bill Trotter (Shelly) of Spartanburg, SC, her daughters, Carol Wood (Joel) of Greenwood, SC, Maxine Trotter Pace of Gaffney, SC, and Angela Odom Ramirez of Spartanburg, SC, one stepson, David King (Corlis) of Greenwood, SC, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a grandson, Josh Trotter, and three stepsons, Steve Trotter, Bennie Trotter, and Mike King.

Services will be held at a date and time to be determined.
