Betty Keith

Betty Joyce Burnett Keith, 92, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at White Oak Estates. Born February 5, 1930 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Robert and Ruth Emily Toney Burnett and was the wife of the late Thomas Allen Keith Sr.

Betty was a homemaker. She was devoted to her Lord and entire family. She made the best biscuits for breakfast and supper, every day.

She was a former longtime member of Fernwood Baptist Church where she was very active in church affairs in her earlier years. She was a current member of Morningside Baptist Church where she sang in the Senior Choir and was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Allen Keith Jr. (Susan) of Lyman, SC, three grandchildren, Michelle Gossett Reynolds (Steven) of Spartanburg, SC, Christopher Allen Keith (Amanda) of Spartanburg, SC and Kelcie Robert Keith (Colleen) of Mt. Prospect, IL, and six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tristan, Elizabeth, Anna, Lachlan, and Lorelia. She was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Lynn Keith Gossett and two brothers, Vernon Burnett and Toney Burnett.

A Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, June 3, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Steven R. Owensby. Visitation to follow at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church Children’s Ministry.
