Betty Jean Bradham Thompson, 93, of Chesnee, SC, died Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her residence. Born May 4, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wilbern Percey and Nellie Reid Lockman Bradham, and was the wife of the late William LeRoy “Lee” Thompson.

Miss Betty earned her associate degree from Brevard College. She was a member of First Baptist Church Rutherfordton, NC. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. An avid golfer who also enjoyed playing tennis.

Survivors include her son, Steven Thompson (Teresa) of Chesnee, SC; grandchildren, Alan Burgess of Jacksonville, FL and Devone Painter (Harold) of Boiling Springs, SC; great grandchildren, Kayla, Christine, Ricky, Thomas, Alanna, Maeley and Rhylan; her sister, Linda Bradham Sewell of Boiling Springs, SC; and her best friend, Pat Arrowood. She was also predeceased by her brother, George Bradham.

A Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow after the service.

The family would like to give special thanks to Lisa and Kathy with SRMC Hospice and Devone Painter for their excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of the Upstate – Greenville, 123 Antrim Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
