Betty Hendrick

Betty Sanders Hendrick, 88, of Spartanburg, SC and formerly of Moultrie, GA, died Monday, September 11, 2017, at Summit Hills Assisted Living-Spartanburg. Born February 28, 1929, a native of Thomasville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Kent McDonald Sanders and Christine Parramore Sanders, and the widow of Frank O'Neal Hendrick, Jr. Betty was a homemaker, a member of First Presbyterian Church of Moultrie, The Daughters of the American Revolution, and The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. Surviving are her daughter, Ann Hendrick Moore and husband Larry of Spartanburg, SC; her son, Frank O'Neal Hendrick III and wife Portia of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Moore Nelson and husband Aaron of Bluffton, SC, and Payne O'Neal Hendrick of Atlanta, GA; one great-grandchild, Annie Hayes Nelson; and a sister, Patricia Sanders Hair of Louisville, TX. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the home of her daughter. A memorial service will be held at a later date at West View Cemetery in Moultrie, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 510 First Street SE, Moultrie, GA 31768; or to The Episcopal Church of the Advent Foundation, 141 Advent Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
