Betty Lambert Harbison, 79, of Spartanburg, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 6, 2013, at her home. Born September 8, 1933, in Saxon, SC, she was the daughter of the late Delmas Henry and Sarah Emma Black Lambert. Mrs. Harbison was retired from Milliken. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Spartanburg, the past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #28, and secretary for Foothills British Car Club and Euro Auto Festival. An honors graduate from Spartanburg High School, she was a majorette and member of the American Legion Post #28 Drum and Bugle Corps from 1948-1951. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, James O. "Jim" Harbison, Jr.; son, James O. "Jody" Harbison, III (Leah); daughters, Sarah Coleen Felty (David), Nora Lisa Langdale (Ben), and Mary Catherine Smith (Mark); 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 8, 2013, memorializing her 80th birthday, at the Chapel, by the Rev. Benjamin J. Langdale.
