Betty Greene

Betty Sue Skipper Greene, 88, went to be with her Savior on Friday, October 5, 2018, at her home. Born September 17, 1930 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mary Norris Skipper. She was the widow of James Baxter (J.B.) Greene, Jr. Betty Sue was retired from the Spartanburg County Delinquent Tax office and was a longtime real estate agent in Spartanburg. She was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg, the Al Clark Sunday School class, Young at Heart and a former member of the Quadrill Dance Club. Survivors include her daughter, Patti Greene Willingham of Spartanburg, SC and longtime close friend, Inez Gilree of Spartanburg, SC. She was also predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Skipper Bradley. Visitation will be 12:30 - 1:45 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church Spartanburg, 250 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM the church, conducted by The Rev. Sal Barone. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
