Betty Gosnell

Betty Jean Kirby Gosnell, 78, of 135 Overdale Road, died Friday, October 1, 2010, at her home. Born December 3, 1931, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Alonzo and Anna Laura Guthrie Kirby. She was a retired nurse, having graduated from Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Campobello. Survivors include her husband, Carroll G. (Bud) Gosnell; two sons, Jim Gosnell of Inman, and Tommy Gosnell and wife Judy of Pilot Mountain, NC; thirteen grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas B. Kirby of Millbrae, CA, and Robert J. Kirby of Clearwater, FL. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Campobello. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael P. Bragg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Campobello, P.O.
