Mrs. Betty Blake Foster, 76, met her Savior and Lord on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Born May 3, 1945 in Spartanburg, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Agnes Justice Blake. Betty was the wife of the late James David Foster with whom she was married for 49 years.
Mrs. Foster was a member of Church at The Mill. She was retired from Jocassee Embroidery. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her brother, Tommy Blake (Ruth), her sister-in-law, Jo Foster Valatka, (Joe), her sons, Randy James Foster (Krisila) and Paul Raymond Foster (Tammie), her grandchildren, Dustin Williams (Amber), Brandie Humphries (Chris), Blake Foster, Josh Foster, Krista Foster, and Parker Foster McDonald (Graham), her great grandchildren: Gavin Humphries, Grayden Humphries, and Brenlie Humphries, Carstin Williams, Addie Williams, Lillie Williams and John Mason Williams, along with many nieces and nephews who loved and cherished memories of her. Her nine-year-old sister, Rachel Virginia Blake, and her three-day-old son, Ricky David Foster, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be at 2:00 – 2:45 PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. D. J. Horton and student pastor and grandson, Graham Logan McDonald. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Pallbearers will be the grandsons and great-grandsons.
