Betty Flynn

Betty Ruth Dodd Flynn, 87, of Moore, SC, died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 12, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Daniel and Ruth Mahaffey Dodd and widow of Henry Grady Flynn, Jr. Mrs. Flynn was a member of Green Street Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of Speck's Morning Glory's Circle. Surviving are her children, Pam Farr (Donald) of Lakeland, FL, Danny Flynn (Sheila) of Boiling Springs, SC, and David Flynn (Suzanne) of Duncan, SC; grandchildren, Lauren Farr Daggett (Brett), Matthew Farr, Carmen Davis (Nick), Megan Flynn, Dustin Ward, David Tyler Flynn, and Mary Kaitlyn Flynn; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Daggett, Lyric Ward, Wiley Ned Daggett, Ava Davis, and Cruz Davis. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Julie Kathryn Flynn. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 PM Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Elliott Hamrick and the Rev. Larry Fleming. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
