Betty Allene Thomas Dunagin, 71, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, peacefully passed from this world on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Born July 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Hickok Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Percy Dunagin, Jr, originally of Spartanburg, SC; and her sisters, Gertrude Henson and Eloise Bonney. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Tommie Thomas. Her four surviving sons and their families are: Daniel and Lia Dunagin and son Jay; Chuck and Linda Dunagin; Michael and Ewa Dunagin and sons Matthew and Christian; and Percy III and his sons Ryan and Jeffrey. Betty met her future husband while studying in Collegedale, Tennessee. They married in 1960 and she went on to graduate with a nursing degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She worked as a nurse while raising a wonderful family, all of whom are eternally grateful for her love, warmth, and guidance. She spent a great deal of her life traveling the world and caring for those she loved. Hundreds of lives were deeply touched by Betty - family, friends, and patients. The world is a better place for her having lived. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 PM Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
