Betty J. Dorman, 78, of Cowpens, SC, died Friday, February 23, 2013 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills. Born January 19, 1935 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Flora Mae Bishop Tolleson. Mrs. Dorman was retired from First Citizens Bank in Cowpens after 36 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Alva Threadgill Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Dennis (Shod) Dorman; daughter, Pam Camp and husband Jerry of Cowpens; sons, C. Bubba Dorman of Fairfax, SC and Alan Dorman and wife Stephanie of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Shane, Katherine, Travis, Meredith, Krysta, Brooke, Zach, and Cody; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Haley, Kingston, and Savannah; and brother, Jimmy Tolleson and wife Sara of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a sister, Gayle Lawson. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, February, 25, 2013 at Cowpens First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bill Westafer, the Rev. Dr. M. B. Morrow, Jr., and the Rev. Ronnell Owensby. Entombment will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Jeff Shockley, Wayne Tolleson, Mike Tolleson, Mike Weber, Cody Lapole, and Ran Bailey. Honorary escort will be Jeff Jordan, Jr., members of the Alva Threadgill Sunday School Class, and the 1953 Graduating Class of Cowpens High School.
