Betty Waldrop

Betty Barnette Waldrop, 90, of Inman, SC died Monday, September 13, 2021 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born July 1, 1931 in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grant Barnette and Dora Ellen Eugenia Lee, and the wife of the late Leonard Harrison Waldrop.

Betty was a selfless individual who was devoted to her family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a strong-willed lady who was the matriarch of the family. Betty was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Tina W. Dowdle of Inman, SC, her son, Freddie Waldrop of the home, granddaughter, Tracy Dowdle of Inman, SC, grandson, Dusty Waldrop of Inman, SC, great grandson, Mark Rudisail, Jr. of Inman, SC, and five additional great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son, Dennis Waldrop and grandson, Dennis Waldrop, Jr.

A visitation will be 7:00 – 9:00 PM Friday, September 17, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor.
