Bertha Lee Hyder Rogers, of 145 Hugh Street, Duncan, and a longtime resident of Spartanburg, died Sunday evening, August 1, 2010, at the Village Hospital in Greer. Born in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late James King and Julia Victoria Lydia Hyder and was the widow of Bobo B. Rogers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where she was a longtime member of the Lydia Sunday School Class, Young at Heart and Yesterday's Teens. Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by her daughter, Martha "Pat" Hatley; her son, Tearle Douglas Rogers and all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her granddaughter, Nancy Hatley Sprouse and her husband Joe of Campobello; her grandson, Felix Adrian "Chip" Hatley and his wife Carol of Duncan; her four great-grandchildren, McKenna and Kristen Sprouse, and Casey and Kyle Hatley; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. The family will be at the home of Nancy and Joe Sprouse, 851 Wicklow Road, Campobello, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center Patient Need Fund, c/o Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Foundation, 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to Mobile Meals, P.
