Bertha Lindsey

Bertha Jones Lindsey, 98, of Spartanburg, died Friday, November 11, 2011, at her home. Born August 6, 1913, in Speedwell, TN, she was the daughter of the late Samps and Lassie Hopper Jones and wife of the late Elmer Willie (E.W.) Lindsey. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Powell, TN. and formerly employed at Brookside Cotton Mill in Knoxville, TN, and was weave instructor with Milliken & Company at Drayton Mill. She is survived by her son, Lloyd M. Lindsey of Spartanburg; her daughter Myra Kay Lindsey Cook of Spartanburg; two grandsons, Chris Cook and his companion Tina Deskin, and Joel Cook; and a great-grandchild, Brandi Ledbetter. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Tim Hackett.
