Bernice Fleming

Bernice Whelchel Fleming 86, of 951 Glenn Springs Road, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born February 6, 1924 in Joanna, SC, she was the daughter of the late Benson & Everlena Garner Whelchel and the wife of the late Willie Fleming. She was a member of Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Stephen V. Fleming and wife Teresa of Pacolet, and Robin L. Fleming and wife Tracy of Lyman; two sisters, Nellie Hughes of Laurens and Everlena Fraizer of Kinnards; two grandchildren, Lynn Fleming and wife Ashley of Florence and Kimrey Fleming of Pacolet; a step granddaughter, Ashley Vaughn of Lyman; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Chelsea Fleming of Florence. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kelly Gallamore. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
