Bernard Harold Taylor

Bernard Harold Taylor, 89, of Spartanburg, passed away Thursday morning, October 12, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Bernard joyfully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born August 23, 1934, in Spartanburg, a son of the late Albert Clyde and Eloise Taylor. Bernard has been married to Sarah Johnson Taylor since 1955. 

Bernard was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Boiling Springs and was retired from Felters Corporation. He was a veteran of both the US Navy and the US Air Force. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his granddaughter, Tabatha Davis (Paul) of Darlington, SC; his great-grandchildren, Haley Davis and Thomas Davis; a brother, Dennis Taylor (Trudy) of Georgia; and many wonderful and special friends. Bernard was predeceased by his son, Bernie Glenn Taylor; and three brothers, Jerome Theodore Taylor, Tony Glenn Taylor, and David Taylor. 

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 17. 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Baptist Church, 1600 Old Furnace Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 or to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
