Beona Sellars

Beona Mathis Sellars, 91, of Cowpens, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at her home. Born August 22, 1918, in Spartanburg, SC she was the daughter of the late Burnice and Ida Millwood Mathis. She worked for many years at Converse Mill and retired from Pentex. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Frank Sellars, and a sister, Pauline Seagle, both of Cowpens; five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dennis D. Spencer and Mr. S. Craig Mathis.
