Benjamin Calhoun Bonner, 83, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born November 14, 1925, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Charles Clarence and Verna Calhoun Bonner. A graduate of Pacolet High School, he was retired from Sears Roebuck and Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of Woodman of the World and the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where he was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and Young at Heart. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mignon Lanford Bonner; and a brother-in-law, Donald Miller of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by a sister, Doris Bonner Oliphant; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Lanford Miller. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Morgan and the Rev. Sal Barone. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
